Taste My City: Authentic Barbeque Experience in Phoenix, AZ

Don't walk run to taste my City Barbeque that was some flavorful Bountiful barbecue chips hard way I like with some spicy BBQ sauce but not too spicy Delicious ice-cold Fruit Punch Kool-Aid and a red velvet cake pudding it was delicious as well sweet but not too sweet the cake was nice and fluffy not dry and the owner was a very nice young gentleman I would highly recommend you go down there and check it out won't be disappointed. That bit of fries was covered in big chunks of barbecue before I started I managed to save a little bit of the barbecue for my next lunch at work and it only got better with age so like I said don't walk run over to taste my City Barbecue 107th Avenue and Indian School.

My husband and I were looking for a place to eat lunch he spotted this place "Taste My City BBQ" the owner was friendly and funny. Husband ordered collard greens, beans and the 2 piece catfish plate which came with fries. I ordered 3 piece fried chicken wing combo which also came with fries, and yams. We both had the Red Kool-aid . All of it was delicious, hot, and fresh. We're definitely bringing my family to eat here! Oh and the music that was being played was 10/10 old school motown jams, which for me made it even more pleasant!!

If you’re in Phoenix and love BBQ, do yourself a favor and check out **Taste My City**. From the moment I walked in, the customer service was outstanding. I was greeted with a warm, welcoming attitude, and they were genuinely helpful walking me through the ordering process. Now let’s talk about the food — absolutely incredible. Hands down the best BBQ I’ve had in Arizona, and I’ve lived here for 19 years. The flavors were bold, rich, and perfectly balanced. I ordered the **rib tip/hot link combo**, and it was FANTASTIC. The rib tips were tender and packed with flavor, and the hot link had just the right kick. I also tried my friend’s brisket — it was tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection. On top of that, the restaurant itself was very clean, which always makes the experience even better. Highly recommend Taste My City. It’s seriously delicious, and I already can’t wait to go back next week.

Amazing food, the catfish and shrimp was amazing. Great atmosphere and a large menu. Defiantly be back. So good we didn't leave anything to throw away.

Was looking for something to eat all day somewhere that we hadn't been before, and we chose here since we are Chicago folks and this is a Chicago place. I got fish and chicken with mild sauce on chicken. Fish was the best I've had since we moved to Arizona. Fries were fried a bit too hard, but still good. Chicken was good, but wish I had got 2 pieces of fish instead of just 1. Wife got the rib tips and wings. She said the rib tips were alright, liked chicken much more. We will be back to try some different menu items. Worth the drive out there during rush hour that we took from South Mountain area.

Ordered catfish and wings . . . Best breading and flavor! Fried to perfection. Plenty of food. Priced reasonably for a family-owned business. Excellent customer service. We will come again.

First time at taste my city, first when it came to ordering you are told you have to leave an tip first 1. Your food doesn't come on a plate 2. It came inside a brown paper bag without any eating utensils or napkins 3.No table service,no cornbread or muffin. Didn't have any Mac n cheese. The yams (good) The greens(salty but good) Bake beans look more like pinto beans with ground beef inside Rib tips (tender/good) Will I go again no $65 for 2 people. You don't get many choices on because you have to pay extra for sides,so I can have room I had to packed up my food to come home and eat on a plate and real forks, spoon, knife, damp towel to clean my hands. I strongly suggest to order togo because you're don't get restaurant service.

Look I was out minding my business working and I smelled something good. I said hey man what you grilling. He said chicken. I said Im about to come holla at you. I Kept smelling it while working I went as soon as they opened. I didnt know chicago people even bbq. Man when I tell you the chicken and ribs were tender and moist. The sauce was good too. (Im a fan of dry rub and wet bbq) Look Im from KC so I dont like every one bbq this was amazing. I dont frequent the west side often but I have a reason to now.
